This was a nice episode. Great music and appropriate too. I liked when Hannah pressed the piano keys. I think it is either Lucile or Milly at the door. I’m leaning towards the former.
Can’t wait for Wednesday now. Keep giving us cliff hangers and amazing stories like this and before you know it. I’ll be wishing my life away. Enjoying hearing you speak with the new mic.

So, somewhere along this last week you had mentioned how much Hannah was moving in this episode…so, I just listened a second time and focused on where she was and where she was moving to…I counted like 8 or 9 different locations. You weren’t kidding. LOL Given that, the transition from her apartment, to the hallway, to the elevator, to the building entrance/exit hallway, to outside, and finally into the car…was flawless. I mean, it was spot on with sounds and atmospheres. 😃 Just…really well done! 😊
So, I have a few questions about the time line. When Christine asked if Lucile had moved back to Brussels because of her, I became confused. Because, I thought it had been a few years since they had all spoken. I went back to Part 39 and learned: Hannah was 18 when her father died. It was 4 years later that Lucile met and then married Philip. How long was it before Christine had the affair that caused their divorce? Christine said she hadn’t seen Lucile or Hannah for the last two years…so, after that much time, how is moving to Brussels ‘running away’ from Christine? (Just seems like it would have happened a lot sooner than that if it were because of her.) How long was Lucile in Brussels (from when she moved back) before coming back to NYC now? How old (around) are Hannah and Milly and how long has their relationship (from the first dinner meeting as mentor/mentee through this separation) been? Sorry, if I should be picking these things up on my own…maybe I should start from the beginning of the episodes. LOL And take notes for myself and my memory. 😆 Feel free to not answer this if you don’t want to. LOL

Hannah -1: Christine meets Lucile, who is already married to Henry
Hannah 18: Henry passes away
Hannah 22: Philip walks into their lives
Hannah 23: Lucile marries Philip
Hannah 31: Lucile divorces Philip
Hannah 33: Lucile moves to Brussels early in the story
Hannah 33: Lucile comes back to NYC surprisingly fast (she might NYC more than expected 🙂
I think Lucile was lonely and felt betrayed after what Christine did. Over time, she associated NYC with the betrayal of her friend and left. It seems like living in Brussels isn’t helping as much as she thought it would, though, since she came back to NYC within months as soon as she had an excuse (check up on Hannah)
Episode 1 is late spring (prologue), then the story jumps to August and it’s fall now. So just a couple of months.
Thank you! Lucile in Brussels felt like just a few weeks to me, so knowing it’s a few months helps me out. And how old is Milly? 🙂
Milly is a bit younger. She is around 27-28. Female voices don’t reach their peak until in their thirties. But she has had quite a bit of training and was in different programs before she was admitted to the Met’s Young Artist Development Program.

When I listened, I thought maybe Lucile went to Belgium when she did because of receiving the letter (was it a letter?) from Christine for her to consider being a patron for Milly. I thought maybe it brought up the past and she knew they would be in contact again if she did select Milly and she couldn’t handle it.
I’m typing fast at work if that made no sense whatsoever.
