Hello fellow romantics,
I’m excited to share the latest episode with you, my patrons, today!
I also want to tell you something that is not easy to share. But you’ll hear about it soon enough, so I want to share with you first.
Yesterday, I was interviewed by the podcast ‘Well…Adjusting.’ The interview was about how I’ve been doing this podcast for 7.5 years now without ever having enough funding. I share how I’ve used my savings to keep going and that I have started to ask myself: When do I stop?
I’ve not wanted to share this much before because I never quite found a way of talking about it that felt comfortable to me. That’s because you are supporting my work and that means so much to me. I don’t want to give anyone the feeling that their support is not enough.
Unfortunately, what I make from the podcast is very little compared to the time I spend working on it. I kept going because this podcast is what I love to do most, and I love sharing it with you. But I’m running out of money and I’m getting to the point where I want a more stable life for myself financially. I’m ready to say: I have invested enough now.
That means things have to change immediately. I have to find new ways of making a bit more money with the podcast, and I have to make time to work on other projects like marketing consultancy to pay my bills. The first deadline is the end of this year. I have to find a way to make enough money to not go in the red again with my business. If I don’t… Well, I honestly don’t know what I’ll do.
I didn’t want you to hear this in some other podcast later this year. So I decided to be very open about it here now. I’m not saying I’m quitting. I’m saying I need to find some new doors to open very soon. But I’m looking as hard as I can!
Much love,
Sigrid
