To the fellow romantics of color,
I know I have not done enough in the past. I haven’t spoken up enough. I have let you down because I was keeping it safe. I was keeping it convenient.
I am deeply sorry.
I am educating myself so that I can do better.
I’m protesting together with you and the rest of the world. Nobody has to live their lives in fear. Nobody should take anyone’s life as if it’s theirs to give and to take. How George Floyd has passed, that’s not a way to go, for anyone. Justice will prevail. As long as everyone stand up together, we can prevent this from ever happening again.
