Behind the scenes: Milly & Charles

A bit of silly behind-the-scenes update today. But it comes with a funny cat video!

A few weeks ago, we found an abandoned kitten and named her Milly. If you missed that story, you can find it here. Happy to report Milly is doing very well. But you’ll see that for yourself below 😉

When we found Milly, we already had two cats: Maartje and Charles. Charles is, of course, the inspiration for Hannah’s cat in The Diva Story. He’s quite the character, to be honest.

Yesterday, my wife caught this moment of Charles and Milly on video. Charles’s days of chilling and snoozing peacefully are clearly over.

      “Poor Charles” was the first thing I thought as well and then I was amazed he could turn around in his tube. As he sulked off I think I heard “ I’ get them for this”! ; )

      Oooh, difficult to explain… Trying to think of an English word resembling the pronounciation.

      I guess the first part is kinda like the ‘Mar’ in ‘Mars. The ‘Tje’ is… I don’t think you can imagine it, hehe. I’ll have to put it in an episode somewhere 😉

    Puuuuurfect!

    My two got to be together today for the first time. Some hissing in the beginning from Moxie. Pepsi seems to want to play and she is on edge. They then had many wrestling matches where they were tense, but not really hurting each other. Now, they both seem calmer and are interacting with less wrestling. LOL I feel like it has gone well so far. I have hopes for lots of play and for them to be comfortable enough to sleep near each other. Time will tell.
