I’m so excited….New setup!

Oh my gosh! If you could see me right now… I am wiggling, I am giggling and I am SMILING. I might have even wiped away a happy tear just now.  I’ve got a new recording setup and it’s going to make such a difference…

I unboxed my new gear, set it up and immediately recorded something to share with you. I still have to get to know the mic, of course, so I should be able to get even more out of it, but hot dang! I’m already in love.

Here’s what you’re about to hear:

Sample 1: The old microphone with some gain processing

Sample 2: The new microphone with the same gain processing

Sample 3: The old microphone with full processing as used on the podcast

Sample 4: The new microphone with full processing as used on the podcast

Sample 5: Me talking to you, using the new microphone, with NO processing at all. Just me and my new mic.  (Def. still gotta work on those ‘p’s. Probably need to step back a few more inches 🙂

Oh, if you’re like Muriel and think “What’s the difference? I can’t hear it!”… The new mic is cleaner, less metallic and warmer.

    It is too loud and hard to concentrate here today with everything going on! I’m going to listen again at home. However, your excitement I can definitely notice, and it is contagious. I am beaming for you!

      Those were heavy boxes, you know 😉 Also: this mic pics up a lot more so I’ll have to work on very quiet breathing, haha!

        It was excitement breathlessness at it was adorable! I’m sure the boxes 📦 were heavy though and just getting over the flu, may be……. Nope not buying it 😉
