The Diva Story Part 6 Early Release

The Diva Story Milly

Hello there!

What a week :/ I have to admit, after reading the news this week, I sometimes just wanted to go hide in a cave somewhere & forget about the world.

Luckily, I don’t have to find a cave. I can just escape to my own fictional world with Hannah & Milly ^^ Wanna join me? 🙂 Here’s part 6 of The Diva Story!

Stay safe, my dear friends

Sigrid

PS: I feel like I’ve learned some things from wrestling with part 5 and was able to implement those in part 6. The sound in general should be ‘closer’ and ’rounder’. Curious to know if you notice it on your headphones!

PS: There used to be a video that inspired me for Milly’s performance here. Click here to check it out on the new page.

    Yes. Yes, I did notice.
And you shared a link to Anna Netrebko…ahhhh! Will this comment box let me share a link here? This is my favorite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf42IP__ipw
Not the best recording – the video and audio get off a bit, so just close your eyes and listen. These two and this duet…hmm.

The flower duet was the very first piece of operatic music I liked 🙂 Make that LOVED. I’ve played it hundreds and hundreds of times since I was…14?:) It is breathtaking.

When it plays on the radio, my mom’ll say ‘Oh that’s the one you like!’ It’s also a duet I have yet to see performed live… I’ve been hinting at my wife tickets for Lakme would make a great present 😀 But it’s not performed that often around here it seems!

Sigh. And now I’m lost to that duet for the whole day (if not longer), of course 😉 I also love the part at the end where the voices are softer. It’s so atmospheric…

I had a roommate in college who loved to sing this with her mom. She would play it all the time.

Thanks for educating us. I like opera and listen to my favorites, but I’ve never been to a live performance before and it is fun for me to learn a little more about the ins and outs of how it all works. And I love seeing what inspires you. 🙂
